In the Configuration Options Panel, there is a page in the "Miscellaneous" section titled "Data Presentation". The controls on this page are for customizing how some of your data appears in the graph viewport.
Box Popup Contents (on mouse over):
When the mouse is placed over any box in the viewport's Box Chart, a mini popup window will appear in order to display info on that box. This checklist allows you to customize what information you want to be displayed.
Power Box Calculation:
Boxes that are significantly larger than their historical average might be of interest to you. Commonly referred to as power boxes (or power bars), these two number spinner controls allow you to define the magnitude of a box's area with respect to a specified number of past entries.
For instance, if the "Multiple of average box area" switch is set to 10.0, and the "Number of entries for average box area" switch is set to 50, then Insider TA will illuminate any box in the graph viewport as a power box if it's area is at least 10 times the average box area over the preceding 50 days.
Blends the concept of candlestick charting into the box charts. This feature can also be toggled by
pressing Control-V on your keyboard (i.e., pressing the "Ctrl" and "V" key together). Candlestick charting mode must first be deactivated before enabling the candle-volume feature.
Include a Volume Adjusted Moving Average (VAMA) line:
Whenever a red moving average line is visible in the graph, if you check this checkbox a second
volume-weighted moving average line will be shown in a light purple color. More commonly known
as Volume Adjusted Moving Average, or VAMA, this function helps illustrate the volume contribution
to the moving price average. Note you can also toggle VAMA by pressing Ctrl-M on your keyboard (the
Insider TA main window must be the focused window for this to work).
Dim repeat buy/sell tags:
If there are two or more consecutive buy or sell tags, you have the option of "dimming" the repeating tags.
Some like this feature, while others do not. This checkbox allows you to do either.
Report vol% in consolidation ranges against:
This group box pertains to how you want the volume spans in Consolidation Mapping to be reported as percentages. There are three modes:
"None" Disables volume reporting as a percentage. "Total Shares" Reports consolidation range as a percentage of Total Shares Outstanding, as entered into the Fundamentals Database. "Share Float" Reports consolidation range as a percentage of the Share Float, as entered into the Fundamentals Database.
