CANCEL data merging: データ更新を中止せよ
更新を中止し、リキャップ・ファイルの以降のデータによる更新は行なわれない
SKIP merging THIS FILE: このファイルの更新を行なわずに次のファイルへ進む

Edit
Erroneous Fields Window
There
may be instances where erroneous data lines
will be encountered in your ASCII stock files, or if data
merging,
your recap
files.
Basically, there are three cases:
1) If the "Validate Chronology" button is enabled (checked ON),
and a data line's calendar date doesn't match the expected date.
2) If numerical-based data items could not be translated to a number (for
a number of unexpected reasons).
3) If a data line had missing data items. For example, assume we're running
a Data
Merge,
and our recap file's field order is... Ticker, Last, Date, Time, Change, Open, High, Low, Volume:
Consider the following data line. Note how the High price field for ficticious
symbol "ERRD" is missing:
"ERRD",
19.0000,
"2-03-98",
"4:01PM",
+0.375,
17.0000,
, 16.8750,
1065
In
response to the above error, an Edit Erroneous Fields Window will
appear.

As specified in the above window, the fields are colored red, green, or
gray, depending on the validity of the data. The list of actions reflect
a data load error during the Data Merging process. Note that a different
set of actions will be provided if loading a stock file (see below).
As shown above, we see two fields colored red:
・The "High" field is obviously incorrect, because no data was
supplied where it should have been.
・The "Low" field, although having a correct value by itself,
is considered erroneous when compared
to the High field (which is currently regarded as "0"). Since
16.875 is not less than 0, it too is marked as bad. You'll find
that fixing the High field will automatically fix this error as well.
When all items are corrected, click the "RETRY merging with ABOVE DATA"
button to continue with with data-merging. The Edit Erroneous Fields
will reappear if the corrections you've made were not acceptable.
Summary of actions
(if Data Merging):
CANCEL data
merging:
Terminates
merging this line and all remaining data lines in the recap file.
SKIP merging THIS FILE:
Skip merging for this line of data only, but continues to process remaining
entries in the Portfolio List.
ZERO-OUT fields for THIS data line, and RESUME merging:
Automatically fills all numerical fields with "zeros" (perhaps
to identify a "no-trade" situation).
ZERO-OUT fields for ALL data lines, and RESUME merging:
Identical action as the previous option, but performs the action for
all remaining entries in the recap file whose lines have bad
data. By selecting this option, you'll never see the Edit Erroneous
Fields window again.
RETRY merging with ABOVE DATA:
This is the button you click if you've edited the red-colored fields
shown in the window, and want the Data Merger to reattempt the merging process.
Summary of actions
(if Loading a Stock File):
Access Field
Formatter Panel:
This
accesses the ASCII Field Formatter Panel, allowing you to define the
ASCII
Field Format
for the selected stock file.
Cancel loading this file:
This aborts loading the current stock file.
Retry file load with above data:
This is the button you click if you've edited the red-colored fields
shown in the window, and want to try reloading the stock file.
