Scan Processing Panel

The Scan Processing Panel, which is one of the main tab pages in the File Scan Utility, has two sub-tabs (located along the right side of the window). With them, you define Filter Sets.  A filter set gives you control on...

(1) how to setup your analysis (pre-processing)

and

(2) what criteria to scan for (filter).

Defining Filter Sets

Collectively, we refer to all the data that you enter into the Preprocessing Panel and Filter Panel as a Filter Set.
To define a Filter Set, access the following sub-tabs:

Preprocessing This is where you have control over how various input parameters are to be configured immediately after the data is loaded.

Filter Panel This is the place where you can define your filtering criteria.

Managing multiple Filter Sets:

Only the contents of a single Filter Set is used for a File Scan Utility run. However, you can create as many Filter Sets as you like for future use.
If you have multiple Filter Sets (in the above picture, there are five: BATEST, MAY5, FILTER2, TEST, and HIGHVA), the scan utility will use the one that is currently visible. The name of the active Filter Set will always be displayed at the base of the window. In the above case, this will be the one named "BATEST".

To create, rename, or delete  Filter Sets, right-click the blue tab area to pop-up a menu with the following options:

 Option What it's used for...

Add A new filter panel (all blank, no filters set) is generated.

Copy A copy of the clicked filter panel is generated (you must right-click an existing filter tab to have access to this function).  Insider TA will copy the name of the filter as well, with a number appended to make it unique.  For instance, copying filter "BATEST" will create a new filter named "BATEST1", "BATEST2", "BATEST3", and so on.

Rename Used to rename an existing filter (you must right-click an existing filter tab to have access to this function).

Delete Used to delete an existing filter (you must right-click an existing filter tab to have access to this function).
