TC2000 Data

TC2000 is a registered trademark of Worden Bros.

Insider TA Pro Version 5 is able to load data directly from the TC2000 version 4.x and 5.x database, as well as read their earlier version 3 data files (those with the ".NDX" file extension).

Reading data from the TC2000 version 4.x/5.x database:

There are two ways to load TC2000 Version 4.x/5.x data:

• Direct access to a known symbol is performed by pressing Ctrl-T on your keyboard.  A window will pop-up allowing you to enter the desired symbol.  The process is analogous to Insider TA's method of loading
Quotes Plus symbol data (by pressing Ctrl-Q).
• To display
selected chart lists associated with your TC2000 software, simply pop up the File Entry Panel.  All designated chart lists will automatically appear there.

Loading TC2000 version 3 datafiles:

TC2000 ver 3 data files are named with a ".NDX" file extension, and are typically stored under one of your TC2000 directories:

C:\TC2000\DATA\

The \DATA directory will have 26 sub-directories (one for each letter in the alphabet). So, use the File Entry Panel to store these 26 directories...

C:\TC2000\DATA\A\*.NDX
C:\TC2000\DATA\B\*.NDX
C:\TC2000\DATA\C\*.NDX

 :
C:\TC2000\DATA\X\*.NDX
C:\TC2000\DATA\Y\*.NDX
C:\TC2000\DATA\Z\*.NDX

Observe in the following picture how Insider TA displays the filenames in the File Entry Panel (e.g. RAL.NDX, ROK.NDX, RTN.NDX), and will not display the full name of the company until after a file is loaded.

NOTE:  Insider TA is unable to create or edit TC2000 data. However, data loaded from any source, including those from TC2000, can be exported to ASCII files using the EXPORT button in the ASCII Field Formatter Panel.
